I was watching DBZ earlier. (I think either majin buu or a movie that hasn't been releaed yet, I cannot remember.) When I got to the end, it said "Copyright 1989." Are we that far behind from Japan on that show?

I'm not Sunrie or BM (Can't ya tell) but when I moved to Japan in like '94 they were around the beginning part of the Majin Buu series. :)

Yep, he's right. GT started around late '95 early '96 and sucked balls for the first season and a half. After that? It got alright.

The Dragonball anime started in the late '80s. Don't expect anymore Dragonball anything, excep the live action DBZ movie...pray to god that won't suck...as Akira Toriyama had the last say in that DB: GT was the last of it. The reason GT wasn't as good as the rest was because he never really intended it to go beyond that saga in Z.

Sorry, Toriyama was NEVER involved in DBGT. You could actually see where he began to lose control over the artwork in it... look at the Cell series. Notice how much more violent it got? Less talk, more fight? Thats not Toriyama's style.
