So, after realizing that Borat wasnt playing in our town this week, WTP and I decided to go to the local movie store which has all sorts of unfamiliar movies.
The owner directed us to "DEAD ALIVE" and "CANNIBLE HOLOCAUST"
Oh.... My..... God....
Cannible Holocaust is illegal in most countries. It contains footage that will offend everyone. Animals getting butcherd (not fake ones... real ones) native woman getting raped, native people killed in horrible inhuman ways.... and dummys filled with pig guts getting ripped apart by natives and eaten. Just plain F*cked up. Rent it and know what the hell is too much in a movie for disturbing images.
As for DEAD ALIVE. It was hilarious. A new zealand horror movie that hands down wins the largest amount of blood used in a movie ever. Picture a scene where a guy takes a lawnmower to a pack of zombies. A delightful romp I must say.
Twas a good, night.... If I had just watched Dead Alive it would have been alright cause it was funny.
BUT.... I watched cannible Holocaust and now I'm actually disturbed.
Anyone else seen it?

I still gotta see Cannibal Holocaust. Ever since I heard that the make up effects were so good, the director had to goto court and bring some of the actors from the movie onto a TV set to prove that he didn't actually have them murdered, I've wanted to see it.
Eli Roth, director of Hostel, had some interview in maxim where he said it had one of the greatest and most gruesome death scenes ever.
Plus, it may carry the record as the movie banned in the most amount of countries. I'm not sure, but I've heard that before.

I remember seeing Dead Alive a long time ago like in the early 90's. If I remember correctly it was pretty cool for a 90's flick. Never heard of Cannibal Holocaust, but Net*Flix has it availble. :)

Braindead is the original New Zealand title, and I think most of the world outside North America. Dead Alive is the North American title.

I watched it a few months ago. But totally forgot to post about my experience watching it. Movie was probably the craziest movie I've ever watched. Some of the scenes were just plain bizzare but I kept watching. I was doing ok, until the "turtle" part and then from then on my stomach felt a little sick. Yeah, it was pretty bad. I'm sure most of you people probably wont watch it, but that last rape scene of the white girl was plain disgusting and almost made me throw up. I had to stop watching it there, and turned it off. But I wanted to finish it so I turned it back on. I only had like 15 minutes left of the movie and ended up watching the end. I probably won't ever watch it again, but I did save a copy of it on DVD. :p
